Message From the Dzongdag

It is with great pride and humility that I extend my warmest greetings to the people of Trashiyangtse Dzongkhag.

As one of Bhutan’s youngest districts, Trashiyangtse—meaning “the fortress of auspicious fortune”—is blessed with rich cultural heritage, sacred sites, and a vibrant blend of communities. Our Dzongkhag is home to treasured landmarks like Gom Kora and Chorten Kora, skilled artisans, and resilient farmers whose work sustains our economy.

Guided by our vision of becoming a model Dzongkhag, we remain committed to preserving our heritage, protecting our environment, and enhancing livelihoods through sustainable development, improved services, and inclusive growth across all eight gewogs.

Together, let us continue to nurture the spirit of unity, harmony, and progress that defines Trashiyangtse.

Karma Thinlay, Dzongdag
