The Dzongkhag Administration, Trashi Yangtse with the experts from National Post Harvest Centre and ARDC Wengkhar, Mongar trained 20 farmers group and spouses of civil servants under  Boomdeling Gewog in finger millet product development. Training was conducted over two days and the following products were developed:

1. Finger millet cookies
2. Finger Millet spicy snack
3. Finger Millet noodles
4. Finger Millet cake
5. Finger Millet Sweet crispy snack

The products was launched to promote farm-based enterprises in the Dzongkhag to enhance farmers' incomes and also to connect organic value added products with local markets and to other Dzongkhags. The launching event was graced by Offtg Dasho Dzongrab and Gup, Boomdeling Gewog . Also present at the launching ceremony were CDEO, DAO and gewog staff.
