A five-day Jana Chidey Kurim began from 13th June, 2023 at the Gomphu kora School of Astrology and the kurim is being presided over by the Venerable Lam Neten of Trashigang and Trashi Yangtse Dratshang with around 85 monks. The kurim is being organized for the first time in Eastern part of Bhutan and is initiated in collaboration with the Pangrizampa school of Astrology in the capital. It is being performed for the well-being of all sentient beings and for the peace and prosperity of the country. On the first day of the kurim, Dasho Dzongdag, Dasho Drangpon, Gups, Sector and Regional heads working under Trashi Yangtse Dzongkhag offered prayers.
