This initiative was made possible through the support of the Commercial Agriculture and Resilient Livelihoods Enhancement Programme (CARLEP/IFAD) under a 50:50 cost-sharing mechanism with the beneficiaries.
The program not only supports farm mechanization but also plays a crucial role in promoting gender-inclusive agricultural practices, improving rural livelihoods, and contributing towards the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock’s vision of a self-reliant and sustainable agricultural sector.
The distributed mini tillers are expected to ease the burden of manual labor, boost productivity, and strengthen the resilience of farming communities across the dzongkhag.
