On the 21st of February, 2025, the TrashiYangtse Dzongkhag Administration joined the nation in celebrating the 45th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty The King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk. The joyous occasion was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including representative from Rabdhey and Gendhey, Dzongdag, Drangpon, SP, OC, Dzongrab, CEO of Khorlongchu, Local Government (LG) leaders, as well as regional and sector heads.

The grand celebration took place at Tsenkharla Central School, where the day’s program began at 9:30 AM with the reception of the Chief Guest, Dzongdag through a traditional Chibdrel and Marchang ceremony.

Following the ceremonial reception, Dzongdag addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of the occasion. In his speech, the Dzongdag highlighted the importance of His Majesty’s leadership in shaping the nation’s prosperity and development. The program then continued with a variety of cultural performances, including traditional dances, mask dances, and other forms of entertainment, all presented by local artists and students.

The main event concluded on a high note with the traditional Trashi Labay (blessing) ceremony, symbolizing the unity and well-being of the nation. To close the celebration, tokha (traditional Bhutanese offerings) was served to the public, ensuring that the spirit of unity and joy was shared with everyone in attendance.
