On 8th June 2022, the biometric data collection for National Digital Identity (NDI) project was inaugurated by Dasho Drangpen as the chief guest with Dasho Dzongrab Gom, Dzongkhag Thrizin, Regional Heads, Dzongkhag Sectorheads, Desuup Gojay of Trashi Yangste and Yangtse Gewog Administration staff at Yangtse Gewog MPH. 

The biometric data will be collected from all the people living in Trashi Yangtse Dzongkhag and will be carried out by 12 Desuups with Dzongkhag Civil Registration and Census, Trashi Yangtse. The programme will commence on 10th June, 2022 from Yangtse Gewog & Throm and will move to other Gewogs as per the programme made by Dzongkhag Civil Registration and Census.
