Mr. Cheku, Chairperson, Local Government Jamkhar Gewog, representing the recipient organization of this grant, as well as Ms. HOKUGO Kyoko, Minister (Economic and Development) from the Embassy of Japan in New Delhi, attended the ceremony.

The Government of Japan hopes that the reconstruction of the irrigation channel will help in promoting the effective supply of agriculture water throughout the year, resulting in the increase of productivity of agricultural products and income.

We will continue our endeavors to develop the friendly and cooperative relationships between Japan and Bhutan.
