On 26th December 2024, the Hon'ble Speaker and Hon'ble Opposition Leader convened a significant meeting with Local Government (LG) leaders, sector heads, and regional heads in Trashiyangtse Dzongkhag. The meeting served as a platform to deliberate on the developmental priorities, ongoing projects, and pressing challenges faced by the Dzongkhag.

The discussions emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to address critical issues such as infrastructure development and the preservation of cultural heritage. The challenges of resource mobilization, ESP concessional loan , and fostering economic opportunities for rural communities were also key points of dialogue.

The Hon'ble Speaker and Hon'ble Opposition Leader commended the Dzongkhag leadership for their dedication and urged all stakeholders to work in unison to achieve sustainable and inclusive development. They also assured their support in advocating for national-level interventions to address the Dzongkhag's challenges.

The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of collective commitment to the holistic development of Trashiyangtse, ensuring that the aspirations of the people are met effectively.
