The training on Waste Management and Innovative Product Development from waste by the Self Help Women Group, who were trained through the Youth Development Fund came to an end today. The three weeks long training received financial support from the Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment based on the project’s objectives to mainstream gender into biodiversity conservation and tourism development in the demonstration landscape. 

Dasho Dzongdag, Dasho Drangpoen and all the sector heads of Trashi Yangtse Dzongkhag Administration graced the closing day event and awarded certificates to all the participants.

A total of 29 women were trained and through this training they acquired knowledge on waste management and also skills to recycle and upcycle plastic waste into innovative products.
