The Black-necked Crane Farewell Festival was celebrated on 22nd February 2025 at Bumdeling, Trashi Yangtse. The event was coordinated by the Bumdeling Wildlife Sanctuary (BWS) and graced by Dasho Dzongrab, Dasho Drangpoen, along with guests, villagers, and students from Bumdeling Lower Secondary School.

The festival aims to raise conservation awareness among local communities and highlight the importance of Black-necked Cranes and their coexistence with humans. A total of 59 Black-necked Cranes were recorded this year, spending about four months in Bumdeling before migrating to their summer habitat.

As part of the event, a morning trail walk was organized, with Dasho Dzongrab, Dasho Drangpoen, and other officials participating, reinforcing the significance of conservation and eco-tourism efforts.
